I want power
I want fame
I want God to remember my name
I want more of that which is unclear
I want to be loved until I'm feared
I'm evil
I am a loner, I am true
I am a loner just like you
They are joiner, they bleed blue
But I am red on the inside
And just like you, I wanna kill kill kill
I see clearly now that I'm free
I won't be a part of this big machine
And I won't damn well let you forget about me
I am a loner, I am true
I am a loner just like you
They are joiner, they bleed blue
But I am red on the inside
Just like you
I'm evil
I am a loner, I am true
I am a loner just like you
They are joiner, they bleed blue
But I am red on the inside
And just like you, I wanna kill kill kill
One day you'll join us
We'll take you for a ride
And we will win you over until you're dead inside
I wanna kill kill kill
Been following Somos for many years, feeling that they had an opus in them...well, here it is. Driving pop-punk sensibilities lend an upbeat tone in contrast to the grim lyrical proceedings, and they absolutely pull it off. Evocative music that's been on repeat for me all month long. RIP, Phil PaintedDogs
This album is so breath taking. It's hard to pick a favorite song off of it, but if I had to pick, I'd pick Dinosword because it gets stuck in my head the most. Zach Szerlip
Subsonic Eye combines math rock, dream pop, and guitar sounds borrowed from post-rock for songs that whirl and flurry, but never quite settle. Bandcamp Album of the Day Sep 15, 2023
Twangy grunge? Dinosaur Jr. except make it Emmylou Harris? It's real on the new EP from California band Grave Saddles. Bandcamp New & Notable Jun 1, 2023
