You better wait for nothing to save us
You better wait for nothing at all
If I can find my way I was already there
You better wait for nothing at all
I am mistaken for something
I hold my breath and cue the battalion
We watch the waves as they start to fall
If we can last one year we can live in the clear
You better wait for nothing to fall
I am mistaken for something
Mistaken for something like them
I see the red sky off in the distance
Another lifetime, remnants of dawn
I turn my back real slow, now I'm ready to go
I wanna know what's putting you on
I am mistaken for something
Mistaken for something like them
I have become someone pretend
They see past our future
We see past their lies
I am mistaken for something
Mistaken for something like them
I have become someone pretend
Been following Somos for many years, feeling that they had an opus in them...well, here it is. Driving pop-punk sensibilities lend an upbeat tone in contrast to the grim lyrical proceedings, and they absolutely pull it off. Evocative music that's been on repeat for me all month long. RIP, Phil PaintedDogs
This album is so breath taking. It's hard to pick a favorite song off of it, but if I had to pick, I'd pick Dinosword because it gets stuck in my head the most. Zach Szerlip
Subsonic Eye combines math rock, dream pop, and guitar sounds borrowed from post-rock for songs that whirl and flurry, but never quite settle. Bandcamp Album of the Day Sep 15, 2023
Twangy grunge? Dinosaur Jr. except make it Emmylou Harris? It's real on the new EP from California band Grave Saddles. Bandcamp New & Notable Jun 1, 2023
